Yasuni National Park is made up of zones irrigated by the rivers Yasuni, Nashina, Conocaco, and Tiputini. It is home to tranquil and important lagoons like that of Jatúncocha, home to a number of species such as the manatee, otters, the pink dolphin and a vast number of other fish. The number and variety of plants is greater than any other ecosystem in the world. Over 106 different plant families have been identified, with more than 700 species living in a small area, in this case within 1 km2. There is a huge volume of wood found in the park and an amazing mix of 650 types of trees, shrubs, bushes and other growth per hectare, more than any other national park on the planet.
Yasuni National Park is also an immense natural wonder that has a great cultural diversity, home in it`s interior and surrounding area to Kichwa and Huaroani communities.
