French Amazon Cabins
2 NIGHTS, 3 DAYS
Day 1: Head down the Napo River in a motorized canoe to the Latas Bridge. Hike through the jungle for an hour to the Unbuni Waterfall where you can have a swim. Return to the river to have lunch on the beach. Later, visit a Kichwa family where you´ll be able to see how they make their pottery and prepare the Chicha de Yuca, a traditional Kichwa beverage. Then you can try your hand at panning for gold and go tubing to Misahualli to have dinner and rest.
Day 2: After breakfast, it’s another motorized canoe trip down the Napo river and a two hour jungle hike before stopping to have lunch and swim in the river. Later, we´ll carry on down river to the Ethnic Cultural Museum Sachasamay where you´ll be able to see traditional hunting and fishing traps as well as medicinal and hallucinogenic plants used by shamans, you can also try your hand at using a blowpipe! After that, we´ll carry on to the Amazoonico Animal Rescue Center before returning for dinner and resting for the evening.
Day 3: Another trip down river to a botanic garden and a local community where you will see a traditional dance and shaman rituals. There you can visit the great cotton-silk tree and hanging bridge before returning for lunch to end the tour.

Description of the Lodge: It is located 600 meters from Misahualli on the banks of the Napo River. There are single, double, triple and even rooms for four people as well as matrimonial rooms with both en suite bathrooms and hot water. Three lounge areas with hammocks where you can relax with a spectacular view of the Napo River. There is also a typical native cabin with hammocks and a bonfire, gardens, swimming pool, restaurant, two bars, private parking lot and private paths leading to the river.
Included in the price: Stay, food, bottled water, tour transport, lifejackets, rubber boots, raincoat, entrance fees and certified guide.
Not included in the price: ransport to or from the city of Misahualli, dinner on the last day, hallucinogenic plants, alcoholic beverages, nor other additional taxes.
