Amazon Road Trip

 3 Days, 4 Nights

Day 1:  Rendezvous in Papallacta to have breakfast and swim in the hot springs. Take transport to the viewpoint of the Virgin of the Guacamayos. Explore the interior of the caves of Jumandy in Archidona. Have lunch. In the afternoon we´ll arrive to Misahualli where you´ll have time to settle into your rooms, observe the cappuccino monkeys, visit the handicraft gift shop, the beach and bridge, then dinner

Day 2: Take a motorized canoe down the Napo River to visit families who pan for gold.  Visit the Sachasamay cultural museum.  See a demonstration of the hunting and fishing traps used by the local communities as well as medicinal and hallucinogenic plants used by shamans. There will also be a blow-pipe demonstration before lunch. The tour then continues to the Amazoonico animal rescue center followed by the return canoe trip up river to Misahualli. See the butterfly garden, and continue the journey by car to Puyo, get settled into the hotel then dinner.

Day 3: Breakfast will be served before visiting the House of Balsa Handicrafts. Pay a visit to the Morete recreational water park which has artificial wave pools, saunas, waterslides, volleyball courts, football pitches, a bar and dance floor.  After that, lunch and you´ll make your way to the amazing Pailon del Diablo waterfall, we´ll drive through 8 tunnels arriving to Baños, settle into the hotel and have dinner.  An open bus evening trip to the Luna Runtun viewpoint where you might be able to catch sight of the Tungurahua volcano, clubbing once back in Baños.

Day 4: Breakfast; visit the fish and snake aquarium, see exotic birds. Head to the majestic church of the Virgin of Agua Santa where there is a museum. End of tour barbeque.
